Israeli Racism and the Wall

Some Palestinian leaders called it The apartheid wall, while others termed it the Wall of Separation giving the wrong impression that our vehement opposition to the wall, stems from separating the Israeli from the Palestinian people. It is a fact though, that the partition of the two people has been the core of the Zionist ideology since the establishment of Israel , in order to keep Israel an exclusively Jewish State. The uprooting and eviction of over 800,000 Palestinians in the 1947-1948 war, which led to the tragic creation of the refugees problem was nothing but a calculated practice that conforms totally to the racial Zionist objectives in Palestine . How can a Jewish state be created in a country whose majority are Arabs, ask the Zionists, to rationalize the eviction of the indigenous Palestinians and justifying the biggest land grab of the 20th century. Hence the separation of the two peoples has been continuously the racial Israel practice since its creation for the last fifty-five years. Palestinians realize this fact while most countries of the world recognize it. Then what is all the fuss about?

During the premiership of Ehud Barak, both Mr. Sharon and Netenyaho designed a new peace plan that represented the extreme Likud agenda that all new peace plans should conform to it, in any future peace negotiations with the Arabs. If we examine the walls geography, we should not be surprised to realize that the wall falls very close to the previously envisioned plan. From Israel s perspective the wall then represents the final Israeli borders with the Palestinians, and not a wall for security, as Israel wrongly claim. It should sound ludicrous that Israel spends hundreds of millions of dollars on a wall that it might have to remove in future peace negotiations with the Arabs. It should sound insane to expect the Palestinians to accept a wall that snakes deep into the West Bank swallowing half of the minute remaining land in the process, making their hopes to become and independent state an impossible dream.

Before the UN Partition Plan (Res. 181) in November 1947, The Palestinians used to own more than 93% of the land of Palestine while the Zionists could not claim to own more than 6%. With the wall as the final borders of Israel , the formula of land ownership is reversed totally to give the Zionists more than 90% while the Palestinians have to acquiesce to less than 10% to accommodate the squeezing of over 7 million Palestinians in such miniature area. To add insult to injury, the wall severs the body of the West Bank into dissected ghettoes that would separate families from each others in the same street, children are separated from their schools and farmers from their own lands. Such hideous scene could only be remembered in animal stables in the Wild West. The repulsive racism involved here is that the wall does not only discriminate against the Palestinians human rights, but it also separates the communities of the same people apart of each others, isolated by threatening Israeli check-points. Fulfilling the Palestinians national aspirations under these oppressive conditions becomes a farce. Palestinians would not object to al wall as big as the China Great Wall as long it conforms to international legality and the UN resolutions.

Negotiating with Israel under this miserable status-quo borders on treason, not because it devastates and destroys the national aspiration of the Palestinians who suffered so much, but because it also violates flagrantly all human, moral and legal values of the international community. Since Israel have consistently proven time after time its violation of international legality and UN Resolutions and unveiled its ugly face by building this wall, the Palestinians leadership should desist from any further negotiations or even contacts with Israel . Palestinians from all factions should unite under once military organization and continue its armed struggle until all Palestinian rights are accomplished.
