Dr. Kamal is a Murtad now!

Mohammad Asghar

Dear Moderators,

The number of murtads i.e. the apostates in Bangladesh is increasing alarmingly. One famous personality was that of Dr. Humayun Azad. He paid for his alleged apostasy with his life. The latest addition to the list of apostates is Dr. Kamal Hussain. We came to know about him, because he is famous.

Do we know how many not-too-famous apostates must have lost their lives to the murderous Muslim hyenas of Bangladesh? Do we know how many freethinkers in Bangladesh might be living in fear?

We dont, because we hardly think about them, nor do we pay much attention to their plight, even when it comes to our notice.

Despite the fact that Dr. Azad was almost killed in Dhaka, and a section of people, known as Qadianis, are being persecuted as they are not deemed to be true believers by the Muslim bigots of Bangladesh, the State Department of the United States declared that Bangladesh was a moderate Muslim country!

How?

I am perplexed. I am ashamed, too. I do not know what to make of the State Departments declaration. Should I stop reading the newspapers, or ask the earth I walk on to swallow me up so that I can rid myself of my shame?

I dont think foreign missions in Bangladesh read its newspapers. Otherwise, they would not have given a clean bill of health to Bangladesh on its treatment of Qadianis and the so-called murtads.

This report in Daily Star is worth reading; I hope foreign missions will also read it in order to amend their politically correct stand on Bangladesh.

I ask VM and Mukto-mona to launch a movement against the criminal activities of the Bangladeshi Mullahs. This would not only save precious lives; it would also save us the pain we suffer from after people like Dr. Azad have become victim of the Muslim murderers.

Kamal hopes for Allah to forgive murtad callers
Staff Correspondent

Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain yesterday said Allah might forgive those who had declared him murtad (deviated from Islam) and hoped wisdom will prevail in them soon.

On arrival at Zia International Airport (ZIA) at 12:45pm after visiting Palestine as a member of the UN election monitoring team, he said declaring anyone murtad is nothing but a shirk (an act tantamount to demanding oneself equal to Allah).

"I don't know what do they think about themselves and what makes them so indiscriminate in commenting on other people?" the eminent jurist said declining to elaborate on the issue. "We will hold a press conference on this."

The leaders of International Khatme Nabuwat Bangladesh at a public rally declared Dr Kamal Hossain a murtad last Friday.

Dr Kamal was one of the nine-member UN election monitoring committee that also included former US President Jimmy Carter.
