When a falling Apple leads to gravity

 -Jahed Ahmed

When Muslim Mollas and Hindoo fanatics both hate you, be sure that you are in right path.

-Tanveer Ikram

While I personally think- both Mr. Tanveer Ikram and honorable fatemollah deserve accolades for their write-ups; I am a bit puzzled to see: Mr. Bishney Dey, instead of Mr. Nurul Kabir, has responded to Ms Rafida Ahmed Bonna when Ms Bonna didnt accuse Shree Dey in her write-up. And you cannot help being reminded of the legend-  how a natural falling of an apple led to discovery of laws of gravity by Physicist Sir Isaac Newton. It tickles the sense- it was only lately that Mr. Nurul Kabir wrote an article under the title Lead Character of the Circus is neither Tiger, nor Wild Boar but a Joker. What else could we call as irony of fate? Ms Bonna wrote about Mr. Nurul Kabir and response came right away from Mr. Dey!  He should have kept it in mind- his identity as Nurul Kabir lost credibility before readers in more than one ways. For example- repeated use of abusive words such as Bootlickers and sidekicks in his own writing. One cannot help asking the question: how in the world could Nurul Kabir and Bishnu Dey write three (3) different articles in the same language?  Did they take the language classes together at school or write each others article? Anyway, thanks to Shreeram Bishnu Dey to come clean within couple of days and clear up the confusion the general reader had about this whole Nurul Kabir Fiasco and having helped end it. So the old saying comes back: dont throw stones from a glass house! BTW, enough is the Shan-e Nujul of my title.

I quoted Mr. Tanveer Ikram atop my article since he spoke my mind; nevertheless, I think-  he would have sounded better with a little modification. If I were he, I would say: When fanatics/extremists of all chauvinistic ideologies/religions hate you, be sure that you are in right path. A historical example is given below:

Upon his visit in then Soviet Union (possibly during 1930s), Tagore wrote a book entitled A Letter from Russia (Rashiar chitee); where he, on one hand, appreciated communism for having ensured free education, free treatment, wage proportional to labor, etc., for its citizen; and on the other hand, criticized communism (thank God! Our S. Hashem was not born!) for having restricted liberty of its population and press. The consequence? Guess what?

The book was banned both in British India on the allegation: Tagore praised communism; and in Soviet Union on the allegation: Tagore denigrated communism.

Somewhat re-echoing fatemollah- being intellectually honest is really a thorny job. Therefore, I would like to say to Avijit, Rahul, Alamgir, Bonna et al; my dear ones, we have embraced this journey voluntarily and with bliss. So no wonder with what has happened! No wonder with what is happening! No wonder- it may keep happening! All we need to do is remind ourselves-  our adversary is no more artful than those of our ancestors, to name a few: Bidya Sagar, Ram Mohan, Tagore, Nazrul, Ahmed Shariff, Abul Hassan, Ahmed Sofa, Akhtaruzzaman Ilias, Aroj Ali Matubbor, or at an international level, Spinoza, Rosseau, Voltaire, Abraham Lincoln, John Mill Stuart, PB Shelly, Byron et al.

Yes- sometimes it is so crucial that we overlook and NOT get distracted from real issues.
