God, did you not hear their scream?

I was watching a television program called Hitler's Holocaust I have seen programs like this before and each time I am appalled at the sadistic crimes perpetrated against defenseless men women and little children. It is painful for me to watch. A witness said the Gestapo saw a little boy standing in front of his house they told him to pull down his pants, which he did, and when they observed him as circumcised, they shot him in him in the head.

I have heard countless rationalizations the Jews give for the holocaust. "God moves in mysterious ways" is the ultimate exoneration of a cruel God. Christians too use the same rationalization when some catastrophe occurs and their god Jesus ignores them.

Most rational people would condemn someone for ignoring the plea of someone in distress. In his book, The Informed Heart the famous psychiatrist Bruno Bettelheim, tells of his experience in a concentration camp. He describes how Jews used to hold court, putting God on trail for murder and abandoning his "chosen" people. They found God guilty of crimes against humanity, after the trail they formed a minion (group) to pray to that very same omnipotent god. My thought is those Jews who come to god's defense have no sense of morality and apply a double standard that you can only call insane. That defense, God moves in mysterious ways" used by Jews for the same reason as insecure individuals who are afraid of voicing an opinion or judgment---out of fear of criticism and condemnation. I have heard rabbi's blame Jews for the holocaust because they are becoming too secular. How would a Jew fare if they engaged in polemic about an omnipotent "god", who is a psychotic monster? These same people through years of brainwashing do not trust their own judgment. In effect, they are saying, "who am I to judge?" Those who refuse to make a value judgment of an immoral act like mass murder in effect condone it. The fact these people look through religious colored glasses does not spare them from judgment. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, no matter to whom it is given---not even "god". An omnipotent god who has the power and yet does not intervene to the wanton murder of six million of his people is immoral and criminally insane. Yet these misguided people still worship this God named Jehovah.
