�Biggan O Dharma: Songhat naki Somonnoy?� edited by Dr. Avijit Roy contains a good collection of articles by eminent philosophers and thinkers mostly from Bangladeshi origin. While the religions have established their own definitions of creation, the scientists and philosophers have been engaged in finding new definitions of the living and no-living entities in this world and beyond. This collection of articles is a good resource to expand individual quest for knowledge of the universe and its inhabitants until today and what could be in the pipeline yet to be exposed.

Dr. Ajoy Roy, a reputed scientist of high esteem, who was invited twice by the Nobel Committee to nominate candidates for Nobel Prize, has written two elaborate articles in which he has cited almost all scientists and philosophers starting from the dawn of civilization and defined the believers, non-believers, agnostics, skeptics and anything in between. He also characterized the belief on the Supreme God. Dr. Irtishad, Chairperson of Construction Management Department of Florida International University, has one analytical article with lot of inclusions from other great philosophers from the history. These are just two examples of critical thinking and analysis on the status of religions within the knowable spectrum of the universe.

The editor has enriched this publication with 12 articles of his own. Each of the articles is a milestone of new dimension in the human quest for knowing thyself and the universe we inhabit. I wish these articles are translated into English language for the international readers. Authors and philosophers across the globe will find these articles as a valuable treasure of scientific analysis, thought and information.

It is amazing, that the same country Bangladesh, which has produced fundamentalists to detonate 363 bombs within a time span of 30 minutes, has also produced a lot of world class rational thinkers who are engaged in teaching the humanity to learn with arguments, reasons, and wisdom. It is more amazing that we have the pioneer, Aroj Ali Matubbar. This great man could not afford to go to school but built up his own philosophy with skepticism and then learned reading at the age of about 20. He left his legacy in three volumes which are now referenced by established authorities.
