Special Greetings for Darwin Day Celebration -2
Published on Darwin Day (February 12, 2006)
I congratulate Mukto-Mona for their spirit and effort to celebrate Darwin Day as an occasion to raise the global awareness of science & philosophy. One of the biggest problems mankind facing today is driven by the force of bigotry, blind obedience & fanaticism, and only knowledge of science and philosophy can show us the light. A scientific mind with an honest & truthful philosophical value can turn this world into a beautiful & exotic place to live. I appreciate Mukto-Monas views of science, reason & understanding very much in this context.
Best wishes to all.

I commend Mukto-Mona for their decision to celebrate Darwin Day. Much of the problems engulfing todays mankind stem from fanaticism, orthodoxy & backward pattern of thoughts. In this regard, remembering Darwin & his works is not only timely, but extremely praiseworthy. I wish a happy Darwin Day to all!
Best wishes,

Darwin is more than just a biologist. Hes a symbol against bigotry, myths & all parochial views. Celebrating this great mans birthday and work therefore symbolizes Mukto-Monas commitments to the cause of science & reason.
Best wishes to all friends & well-wishers at Mukto-Mona!
Sincerely,

I express my solidarity with Mukto-Mona in it's participation in Darwin Day Celebration. Charles Darwin made one of the most important contribution to science and freethinking by properly articulating the process of evolution and developing the theory of natural selection. Lest we forget the contribution of Charles Darwin and the theory of evolution in the emancipation of the human mind, it has become very important to celebrate Darwin Day with an aim to: "promote public education about science" and "eradication of pseudoscience, superstition and taboos from peoples mind".
I wish the efforts of Mukto-Mona and the sponsors of Darwin Day Cellebration every success!
