UNICEF Bangladesh has sent a SOS (Save Our Souls) message to donor countries requesting a donation of at least 13.4 m US $ for relief and rehabilation program of flood stricken people.

30 million need food aid for five months
Up to 30 million deluge-hit people will need food aid for the next five months, Food and Disaster Management Minister Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yousuf said yesterday, as Unicef reported an "exceptionally high" number of flood victims suffering from pneumonia.
